The Gang!
From Left to Right. Me, Brenda, Eric, Justin, Tim

Yesterday I went out to Po'ipu on a snorkeling trip that Brenda had arranged for the PMRF Base Outdoor Adventure Center. It was nice and relaxing. I saw a Hawaiian Monk Seal!!! When I got here I said that if I went home without seeing a Monk Seal I would be totally bummed and the trip would have been a failure... No failure now!!! I saw one! Woohoo!!! Also at Po'ipu while we were relaxing on the beach all of these people started crowding by the water. I was curious what all of the commotion was about so I walked over and took a peek. They were doing baptisms and singing songs about Jesus. It was convicting. It made me sad. As I stood there in amazement of their love for Christ the people I was with were just bashing them. Just making horrible jokes and comments about Jesus and what those amazing people were doing. It broke my heart and made me want to come home. I miss being around people who love Jesus. It was a very convicting day and I don't really know what to do next. Makes me wish I didn't take all of the wonderful friends/family/church/community for granted back home...
I had quite a weekend too:
Thursday I went Sand Sliding at Polihale with Tim, Brenda and Justin.
Friday I went on a sunset boat cruise with Brenda and the 3 Stooges. Then we went to Shipwrecks Beach and goofed around on the beach. Then we went to Keoki's and goofed around. Then we went back to Base and hung out at Shenanigans and goofed around. Played some beach volleyball! It was a late night with lots of crazy stories. On the boat they had unlimited Sniki Tikis, an alcoholic beverage. The others all had quite a few, they all got pretty T-Rashed... I volunteered to be the DD. They were all doing very silly things after round number 7... At Shipwrecks beach they boys decided to have a drunken wrestling match. Pretty funny! At Keoki's there was more drinking involved and more craziness. On the way to Shenanigans the 3 stooges decided that the van should be more like a jeep. So they opened both of the sliding doors... Then as I was driving they started hanging out of the doors and coming in through the front passenger window. It was very very stupid and unsafe. They were pretty wasted at this point... Once we arrived at Shenanigans I had a couple Mai Tai's. Since we were on base that meant I was in the clear to drink, I'm friends with the Base Cops so I know I won't get in trouble for drinking and driving. I was way more sober than anyone else anyways. We played volleyball, it was so much fun. However, very difficult to do in a dress... I finally got home and in bed at like 1:30-2amish. The two Mai Tai's I had made my stomach hurt really bad. I think my ulcers have decided alcohol is not my friend. I've been drinking more than normal these past few months and I have reached my limit. If I keep drinking I will end up in the hospital with stupid stomach issues again, I refuse to let that happen. So no more drinking... I'm kind of glad I have a good excuse to not drink.
Saturday after Po'ipu snorkeling I went and bought a hammock. We are planning some overnight hiking adventures and I need something compact to put in my pack to sleep in. I'm pretty excited about it! Then Brenda and I did some shopping in Lihue. I got an awesome dress for the Navy Ball! Oh, I am going to the Navy Ball. Eric asked me to go with him. It should be lots of fun. It is next Saturday, so soon!
This morning, Sunday, I got up and we went and met the 3 Stooges for brunch at the Sheraton. It was pretty good food, kind of expensive, but still good. Afterwards we went on a hike to some hidden beaches, it was pretty fun! However, we were all wearing flip-flops and got our feet cut up by these giant thorns. That was no bueno! Other than that is was quite a beautiful hike!
Alright, well I've got Fall Camp starting tomorrow. I should get some sleep before I try to manage all of those crazy kids!!! I've been feeling kind of yucky the past couple of days, I think I am not getting enough sleep. Hopefully that will change though, I don't want to get sick!
Aloha!
